Fridays: Favorite Day?

24 Hours later and I'm still blogging!!! Will wonders never cease?

I know that I am not a mindless person, but it is a little intimidating coming up with something to write. Can it be? Already? Blogger's block?

Well, today I will talk about Friday afternoons at work. Isn't it funny how some Friday afternoons in an office are sort of slow and languid, often with many starting the weekend early; thereby leaving behind an eerie emptiness? Then again, some Friday afternoons are filled with chatter and jokes. Other Fridays are frantic and frazzling up until clock-out time. Do you think it sets the tone for the weekend? At any rate, is there another feeling to compare with heading home on a Friday after work? It's akin to when I was a child on the first day in Spring that I didn't need to wear a jacket while walking home from school. Released from the confines of my cubicle! Ah, freedom, sweet freedom! The headiness of it all!

As a working person, Friday quickly becomes a favored day. It's almost better than Saturday because it holds so much promise. Any thing seems possible on a Friday night with a whole weekend stretching before. Conversely, Saturday is full of errands and to do's and seems to fly by. Saturday night marks the downhill slide back to Monday work. And then there's Sunday night, with it's own sort of sadness and mental preparation for the a new work week.

Yes, I'll take Friday any time! On the other hand, Sunday evenings spent with family...

Fridays are indeed very special! There is nothing like the potential of a friday evening when the kids have flown the nest and your best friend is by your side!

It is fun to see you online! I will have to get to understanding the picture thing so I can show off my little ones too!

While I love Fridays, I think Sunday mornings are my favorite time of the week. Time on the deck in the early morning with the dog and the breeze blowing softly through the wind chimes. Nobody calling on the phone. Nothing on tv that I feel compelled to watch. The perfect time for a cup of chai and something to read.
